Design & Pre-Construction
Program Instructors:
- Eric Sell
- Michael Lowe
Program Rationale:
With the world’s population increasing exponentially, a demand is created for new products and structures. Students in school today will soon be designing and building the products that will serve the future. At the Career Pathways Institute, students can attain knowledge and skills to be successful in an everchanging world.
Program Description:
This program is designed to give the student a variety of skills in a very detailed manner. The students begin learning print reading and reverse manufacturing so they are fluent in nomenclature and able to communicate with colleagues. The students then analyse drafting principles and different methodology for constructing their own prints. Finally, they will learn parametric modeling, building information modeling, CNC interface, and rapid prototyping.
